F-Stop Magazine

Scott was browsing his favorite photography web sites today and showed me an amazing portfolio on the F-Stop Magazine site. It's the featured portfolio for the Imaginary Worlds group exhibit. Work is by Pierre Javel and Akiko Ida, and it's just fantastic! There is a thumbnail view of each image, where there is a scene of figures doing some activity, then the larger picture view, where you realize what's actually happening. The figures must be the tiniest figures you can get for building model trains scenes and such. And each scene is created in some culinary setting. Like the mine workers are actually working on a chunk of chocolate. And the skiiers are actually in a spoonful of sugar. You have to see for yourself. Every one of the images is exceptionally well-done and extraordinarily creative.
